An Act respecting the National Strategy to Combat Human Trafficking
This enactment requires the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness to maintain and update the National Strategy to Combat Human Trafficking and address the harms caused by human trafficking. It also provides for review and reporting requirements in respect of the National Strategy.
This bill, known as the National Strategy to Combat Human Trafficking Act, mandates the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness to create, maintain, and update a national strategy to fight human trafficking in Canada. The strategy aims to end human trafficking, address the harms experienced by survivors, and improve support for them. It also requires regular reviews and annual reports to Parliament on the progress made in combating this issue.
